Bug?

I have For Rent, and it said there was a ghost in one of the units. I go to the unit, and I see I have 7 Hours to complete the event. I went to confront the ghost that was in the yard. Once I did that, it ended the event and told me I did nothing to help.....so my rating went down?? I was in the middle of doing it with 7 hours left. Am I doing something wrong?
