Can’t finish archaeology scholar

I have a sim in a save I’ve gone back to probably 10 times that can’t finish the step “write good archaeology skill book.” She has the option available, she’s at level 10 of the archaeology skill and level 10 of writing because she spends so much time working on it. Basically every time she writes she gets writer’s block or becomes dazed and can’t finish in one sitting. Which would be fine, except that when I click to have her resume writing the skill book she starts all over again, and then gets writer’s block again. I’ve tried having her start with Focused, Confident, and Happy with no change. Any suggestions?

      Thanks, I have this issue with songwriting and used the thread before but I didn’t realize they were related bugs.  However the composing sim doesn’t refuse to continue so I’ve been able to use need cheats  to finish a song continuously over a weekend.  Need cheats, motives, and liking writing don’t make a difference with the skill book, and I’ve tried clearing the desk, resetting, replacing the computer, etc. I’ll check to see if there’s anything in the thread I haven’t tried yet. 

      I do have the separate bug with comedy writing not starting at all, but it’s different. The interaction cancels and the tricks of replacing, buying a new computer, and staying on the lot also don’t help.
