Can’t click on sim for options and other glitches

So I was playing last night and everything was working fine. Come on to play this afternoon and my save wasn’t working properly. My sim couldn’t walk through the front door (there was no obstructions), and I couldn’t bring up the menu when I click on the sim. I also can’t choose the work style for my sim while she’s at work (like to choose normal, work hard etc). I tried closing the game and loading it back up and all the usual tricks. Didn’t work. 

So I decided to start a new save game and cheat my sim back to the skill levels she had etc. but I am now having the same glitches as before. Can’t click on the sim, can’t click on her portrait whilst she’s at work to change work style and none of my doors are working even though there are no obstructions 🤦🏻‍♀️

 

has there been an update that I didn’t notice over night that’s made it glitch out? Or what? Because I’m so annoyed, I lost so much progress with my other save file not working. I played for a good few hours yesterday and it was all wasted 😭

    Try repairing the game and see if that helps.
    If you still have issues after doing that and if you use mods/cc,try moving the whole mods folder to another place, delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.
