Can’t place Dream Interior Designer hob on counter above oven - bug or design…?

I’m going through a micro home phase and I really like the cookers in DID (here in the U.K. we don’t usually have freestanding cookers) but I want to place the hob on the counter above the cooker but, when I do that, this happens. For a while, I thought I’d solved the issue by only using a counter which was between 2 others, but it’s even happening with those now. If this is by design, Maxis, can I request that it be changed so that it isn’t…? As it happens with every style of counter I’ve tried it with, I can only assume it’s a universal bug, or by design. Is it not possible to use the hobs in this way…? It does save a countertop. I can take it off, and put it back and it’s okay until I move (eg go up a floor and come back down) If it matters, I’ve got literally everything, and am playing on a rather ancient MacBook Pro (2016) running whatever the most recent version of Mojave is. ’s
