@NowViewing Hi! Sorry you're having trouble with this. I attempted to recreate your structure but I didn't have the problem you describe.
I had to place the stairs using moveobjects (MOO) because they conflict with the outer wall of the upstairs room. I left MOO on and I was able to build the room without deleting the stairs. I even turned MOO off and was still able to finish that room. So I have no idea why that's happening in your game. Perhaps you could try removing the stairs, then building the room first. Then place the stairs with MOO turned on.
Is there any way to place a wall here specifically, like any cheat or anything aaa

@NowViewing OOOH! I couldn't tell from your original photo that you had an L shape. I wondered what that extra yellow was but my brain didn't register it as the L. lol I'm really sorry but I just don't know how to make that work. Even with MOO on, the game won't let that open space appear beyond the wall. If you're playing on a computer, you might be able to find a mod that will override that feature but I don't know of one and would be extra cautious using a mod like that. Otherwise, would it ruin your life to have a bump-out in the upper room? I kinda like it like this. Maybe gives it a little more character? What do you think?
