cant connect to gallery sims 4

every time i try to use the online gallery in Sims 4 it asks if I want to connect to the internet and then when I press connect it says I don't have a connection which is just not true my internet works just fine seeing as I can connect to this website to ask this question. I do not use Origin I play Sims 4 from Steam and all the answers that I've found for this question elsewhere are about Origin. I'd love some help, there are houses on the gallery that I want to use. Thank you
