can't delete sims 4 from icloud without losing my saved games.

I want to keep my Sims 4 on my laptop but delete it from my icloud. My icloud storage is full and the largest thing on there is Sims 4 (and i can't afford to buy more storage), the more i play the less storage I have, I have icloud synced to my phone which means I can only ever keep around 200 photos and 20 videos on my phone, i can't restore my whatsapp when i needed to delete it and reload, I also need to delete an app everytime i want to get a new app all because my icloud storage is too full. If i deleted Sims 4 off icloud this would resolve all these issues. But I lose out on 4 years + of gameplay.

This will ultimately be what I do. But there really needs to be a better system in place. Why can't we save our games on our Origin account, so when i open origin on a new device i can continue playing it on there? Why can't I keep my saved games on my laptop and when deleted from icloud it doesn't make a difference as there is a backup there?

Me deleting/wasting all this gameplay will just make me not want to play sims again out of frustration.

There should be a solution for this.
