ArthurShadows60​  It's a test to see whether it helps.  And again, "thousands" don't have your particular issue.  There are other more common issues, just not this one.

And as I said, this is not my side.  I don't work for EA; I'm just a volunteer trying to help other players.

ArthurShadows60​  There are lots of issues with Sims 4 right now, but only a few reports of this particular error.  And in the past, the cause has almost always been one of the possibilities I listed.

If you don't want my help, fine.  But no one else is likely to answer you here.  This is a player-help-player forum, and I'm currently the only player who's a regular in this section.

ArthurShadows60​  A new Windows account only takes a couple of gigabytes to create.  Your dxdiag says you have over 700 GB free, so you'll be fine, and you can delete the new account when you're done.

The event runs for a number of weeks, and you can catch up later, so don't stress about it right now.

ArthurShadows60​  Okay, there's nothing obviously wrong in the dxdiag.  So please check your antivirus for any recent actions involving Sims 4, and set exceptions if necessary.  To see what antivirus you're using, open Windows Settings > Updates & Security > Virus & threat protection.

If that doesn't help, please create a new Windows account on your computer and try playing there.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address.  (You can keep saying you don't have the info until you're asked some security questions instead.)  Here's how to create a new account:

Once you create the account, make sure to set it as an administrator.
