Can't Start Cooking Certain Food(s)?

For whatever reason, my sim would not start cooking certain foods (that involve dough). Pao de Queijo is one of the foods that my Sim refuses to cook. Every time she tries to cook Pao de Queijo, it's as if an object is in the way. And there's not. I've cleared off all the clutter from the counters, and still the same issue. I've sold the stove multiple times and tried different stoves. I've made her walk into the space where the stove should be and she has no problem. I thought a ceiling lamp and the range hood were in the way, and removed it, but still have the same issue. 

I thought maybe my sim was the issue, and reset her but nope, still got the same issue. Resetting the stove and counters didn't seem to work either. 

Sorry for the weird angle, I could not for the life of me, know which other angle I could take so the arrangement in the kitchen would make sense (and to see that there's nothing that is preventing my sim to cook the freaking pao de queijo). 2nd picture is her cooking scrambled eggs with bacon.
