Can't Summon Sim Home to Residential Rental

I recently built a residential rental lot on the Admiral's Wreckage lot in Sulani.  When I initially moved in the sim, the rentals worked just fine, but when I had them travel away from the lot and tried to return home, they would not appear on the lot, and their icon would appear greyed out.  I couldn't click the arrow to bring them home, and I couldn't click anything on the lot.  Saving and going to manage worlds and trying to load back in didn't work - it would just load indefinitely.  Any ideas on what to do here?  Is this a known bug with rental lots?  Thanks!
