I agree that the filters don't make much sense for jewellery and make up (and socks and hair I might add), other than maybe filtering out elaborate formal diamonds/pearls from the sports category. But "formal" is far too narrowly defined, hot/cold makes little sense, and how exactly are we defining "party"?
The filters make more sense in other categories like tops and outfits, though again I feel "formal" and "party" are too narrowly defined. On a computer it's not too much of a hassle to remove the filters but - here I agree again - on console, the clunky controls make it a huge pain to edit the filters, especially if you've already started scrolling the options and then realized what you want's not there (I only tried base game briefly on PlayStation before going back to my computer copy).
- simsplayer8183 years agoHero@PipMenace Yeah I remember it being a bit easier on PC. Right now it sticks on every item when I change categories and I can't scroll so I have to backup and open the list again to select something. It's click, click, swear, click.

@EA_SolaireThis thread could be considered (in part) further console controller feedback. If you can't improve the mechanics of the controller, perhaps at least default to the filters off in certain categories... or use this as an example of why the current mechanics are less than ideal.
- simsplayer8183 years agoHero@PipMenace Yeah, I mentioned the CAS issues on that thread the other day but the thread itself has been a bit quiet in terms of engagement. I'm sure the feedback is going to be used but I'd love to get an update on any progress they've made. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.
