ceiling
Hi EA! I was wondering if in the future we could get options to choose different ceilings? Different patterns and styles but also different color options just like we can choose different floors and...
Hi @EA_Solaire! I'm so sorry for not responding earlier, I don't have notifications on so I don't know what's happening in this post. Thank you so much for replying and sending the feedback along to the team!! I love reading how you're a builder yourself, so you know where I'm (and many others are) coming from haha.
I'd love to post some ss of my build, but 1. its not finished yet (I still got a whole month to finish it, better start early, you know what I mean? haha) and 2. I'm someone that uses a lot of CC and Mods and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post ss on an official EA website (I might get reported or something, you know?). Sims 4 doesn't have a lot of Halloween themed kits and packs so I get my stuff from online websites such as TSR (The Sims Resource), MTS (ModTheSims) and Patreon etc.
I would have loved to post ss from some of my finished builds and my upcoming Halloween themed mansion but they're full of CC and Mods too so yeah... 🤐
What I can spoil though is that its a 64x64 lot. This year I wanted something that says: 'go big or go home' haha. I've got some cool ideas for my basement as well and a secret hidden dungeon that I'm currently working on. I'm turning it into a public attraction so Sims can explore, go trick or treating and be haunted by ghosts and other lurking... things... inside the walls 👿
20th century plumbob offers exactly that and it doesnt count as cc. Its called "ceiling texture replacement".
@Zasz_Zerg I've heard about mods like that. As stated before in my messages, I'm a cc and mods user. What you did forget to mention is that it completely overrides every single ceiling in the Sims 4 lot (your own lots + community lots etc.) and you can only choose 1 ceiling. So if you want to change it up, you have to close the game, go to your mods folder, search up the mod, delete it, go back to your downloads on your computer or the website you got it from, drag the other package into your mods folder, open the game and boom. And don't even get me started on updating every single mod as soon as there is a Sims 4 update otherwise it crashes etc. 🤐
It would be nice if Sims 4 offers those basic necessaries themselves. If they can add floors and wallpaper, why not ceiling, you know? I'm not asking for too much. I don't expect them to suddenly give us 100+ options the next update, just 1 basic ceiling in every single rainbow color + grey, black and white would be nice you know? I don't want a mod to override every single ceiling in the Sims 4. I prefer a black themed mansion with black ceiling and a modern looking house with a modern ceiling (for example) without having to restart my game and delete those packages over and over again. And this is something a lot of people would like to see in the future, thankfully I'm not the only one lol
But nonetheless I appreciate you replying and coming up with solutions! I know the internet makes a lot of texts seem aggressive and harsh but this above ^ was not meant in an aggressive way at all! Maybe I should add some emojis to make it more friendly hahaha
Thank you for your idea and telling me (and everybody else that reads this) about it! 😃😃 < there. Hahahahah
@taffster74 That would be such a bummer 😞😞
Indeed its not an optimal mod. But at least its one option more than before. I chose a rather neutral grey. I dont have to stare at bright white ceilings anymore. I would like wooden ceiling for my sulani builds and a neutral color for my city builds. Its just out of our hands.
