[GF] Drama Club not promoting (Child)

Not just teens, children in it also can't get promoted.

Yes, I have a sim who joined as child and also has not been promoted, she is stuck at Level 1 even though she has met all the requirements for several days.

Still have this issue, no mods/cc, mac
Kid can't promote even once

I am having this problem too. It has been going on a long time, I just hadn't reported it. Haven't played since last September so when I decided to play I deleted the UI Cheats Extension mod, backed up sims 4 folder and then allowed the game to update and did not reinstall the mod. My sims child is stuck at Drama Club level 2 no matter what I do. She has plenty of friends, charisma and most other skills are at max. Though I just realized she does not have the acting skill. Never thought about that. Not sure if she can even get it. I will look. Aside from that, she does the daily drama club task and has gotten the extra kudos for the bonus scenarios that pop up while at drama club. I really do not want to have to cheat to get her through this so I will try for a while longer. She has completed all of the aspirations for her age except the one for doing a slumber party. I've switched and played other households and went back but that doesn't help. As I said, it's been this way for children in other households too and I just gave up and had them do scouting and moved on. I even forget to cheat for them to get it so this is quite frustrating. On this particular child I really need it to work because I'm trying to make her a five star celebrity before she ages up to teen and supposedly drama club was a good way to accomplish that. It might be too late for me to get help because as soon as she finishes her last aspiration and gets her celebrity levels I will be aging her up. Then again, this might take a while because I think there is something going on that is causing her to suddenly not be progressing towards celebrity levels. But, that is a while other post I know.

While poking around, I went in to freeze the child's fame and then was going to unfreeze it after a time, when I noticed that the ability to increase celebrity level was greyed out and when I highlighted it, it said that her fame was as high as it could go for a child. There really should be something to indicate that in the game menu rather than me thinking stuff is broken. Anyway, I now wonder if the same might be true for the drama club promotions beyond level 2. So I am not going to cheat it and will age her up after getting this last aspiration completed and I will come back to report whether she is then able to get the drama club promotion.

My issue was resolved by aging my child up to teen. Hope things get fixed for those of you where it is a real issue rather than a lack of transparency.

CloudyEnd​  Getting promoted in Drama Club has always seemed a bit wonky to me.  I'm on PC but what you said sounds like the same thing.  So, there's a couple ways to deal with it.  First way is to quit and then sign up again.  Second way is to manipulate the performance by being late after it missed the promotion at least twice.  A lot of the time, the promotion will happen within 2 club meetings.  So, you might want to try the second way and if it doesn't work, try the first.

Btw, children cannot get beyond level 3.  You have to be a teen to reach the top level, which is level 4.  So, the way I play that club is reach level 3 as a child then after age up, the teen usually hits level 4 the first time they attend.
