Children cannot play with doctor play set.

As the title states: Children cannot play with doctor playsets (neither human or teddy). The only options on it when I click with a child are, "add to favorites," and, "put in inventory." But my teens and adults DO have the option to play with? They even glitch through the floor to play out the animations. XD 

I've tried everything from 50/50 mods, new save, cleared all caches (including those in the %appdata folder). I thought it must be a mod going out of date, since it sprang up after having changed nothing, but if it is, I think it must be a setting left behind by one of them somewhere that I don't know to look for. 

I'm on PC, using DX 11, if that helps anything. Anyone experience anything similar, or have any suggestions for something else to try? Thanks so much, in advance!

    i have been having the exact same issue for over a year and i haven’t been able to solve it . i assume it’s a mod conflict or something mod related that is causing the issue but i haven’t really tried to fix it .

    Did you try a new user folder? Drag “The Sims 4” folder from Documents\Electronic Arts to your desktop (don’t delete it). Then start the game - none of your saves or cc will be there. Create a new save, and test if you can play with the doctor set.

    If it works in the new save, try moving back the contents of your tray folder (content you’ve saved to your library) and the saves folder. Open the game again and test in the new save - does it still work? Then switch to one of your old saves where it had been broken and test there (don’t save if it used mods). If it still works, gradually add your mods back while testing.
