I was not able to complete the forever friends event with only the base game. This does not seem okay for me, since I found this on the Sims 4 website. How can I solve this?
If you complete all the main quests, which you can do with base game, you should get all the new unlocks - the last of which is the pajamas, I think, as long as you also have the full magnet collection. That is considered completing the event.
If you have packs, you can also do optional extra quests that unlock the rewards faster, and then if you keep going after they’re unlocked just give non-exclusive one-off bonuses like extra simoleons and reward potions.
Are you stuck on one of the quests, or were you just hoping to also get the bonuses? All the bonuses have other ways to achieve them in game.
Hi PipMenace. I completed all the tasks and did not get the pajamas. I have all the magnets.
You can see from the images below, that I completed all the quests, but I'm still 10EP to unlock the pajamas. :(

As Crinrict says, if you completed all the tasks, you should have received the pajamas and EA will have to look into it. Please upvote the report.

Hi I am also having the same issue. I completed all the tasks including the optional ones and it says I don't have enough points to get the last 3 items and the main thing i wanted from the event was the pajamas. I tried all of the advice i read from here including uninstall and reinstall and still nothing and I completed the event but I really wanted the pjs.
