[CLOSED] [FFQE] Week 2: Issues with Tasks

Please use this thread for all issues with Week 2 Tasks 

Common Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Move the following file to the desktop (with closed game): Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > accountDataDB.package
  • Start a new save game and test if it works there
  • Remove all your mods/cc and try a new folder.

You can find what you have to do in the spoilers.

Quest: The Lens of Imagination
  • Buy  a Camera
  • Ask a Stuff Animal about Cameras
  • Take a Imaginative Photo of a Stuffed Animal While at Home
  • Pick Up the Stuffed Animal
  • Buy a Modern Photo Frame (make sure to claim first)
  • Travel to the Park
  • Add a Photo to a Modern Photo Frame
  • Take a Imaginative Selfie with the Stuffed Animal While at a Park
Quest: Shattered Visions
  • Pick up the Stuff Animals
  • Optional [CD]: Adopt a cat
  • Travel to Foundry Cove
  • Optional [CD]: Play with your cat using a Laser Pointer
  • View the Tree 6 Times
  • Chat with the Tree 2 Times
  • Explore the Tree
  • Travel to Sylvan Glade
  • Play with a Stuffed Animal in Sylvan Glade
  • Look for Frogs at Sylvan Pond
  • Take a Imaginative Photo of a Stuffed Animal at Sylvan Glade
  • Ask a Stuffed Animal about Broken Lens
  • Return Home

Tips & Issues

  • For everyone having issues with stuffed animals disappearing from inventories, make sure to either play with no mods/cc or make sure they are all up-to-date, especially MCCC.

    Do you also not have place in world ? Do you have no interactions at all ?

    Have you tried just drag/drop (not sure if that works).

    Help! I can’t advance beyond the look for frogs challenge.,My child sim found a frog at the glade but it didn’t advance. Any suggestions?

    Did your sim click on the pond in Sylvan Glade, and choose the option to “look for frogs”?They need to click on the pond and then the option to look for frogs to complete the task.

    Trying to complete the current friends forever event but I am stuck on the "chat with tree" interaction as I do not have the option to talk to the tree, I can only view the tree. I have tried with all sims in my current save as well as making a new save; the option to talk to the tree does not appear. I have repaired my game and it did not change. This has been happening for weeks.

    how many times did you try ? you need to view it a few times with one specific Sim.

    I did it enough to pass the first part of the event and earn the rewards from that. Now the only option I have is view.

    I’m having a the same issue but with searching for frogs in Sylvan Glade. I follow the prompts to Sylvan Glade but after searching for frogs multiple times and finding the ones available, I’m still not getting credit for it and unable to move on.
