Confused mum.. How do i buy stuff for xbox one from ea site?

Ok,  my son has just been given an Xbox one.  With t,  there was free oe month sub to Xbox live and one for EA.  He's down loaded Sims 4,  and I have a few questions   (he's only 7,  so... )

- First,  when the EA game pass finishes,  will he lose access to sims4? I hope not because yesterday he bought 2 expansion packs after working out my Microsoft password lol..  Anyway,  it's fine,  but he now wants the cats and dogs expansion and has been trying to find free codes online for it...  😳 So I figure i had better buy it before he does. I'm looking on here but can only find mac or PC versions.. Does this mean I can only buy  it through his Xbox? And I don't want to buy it and then find out that the access to the game is gone when the pass ruins out. It's all getting very expensive. 

- second question..  How on earth do you change the skin,hair style and color,  eyes etc.  Ive worked out how to change clothing and body type,  but am going insane trying to find the other.  Please help!

    @Gigiloves2play When the EA Access ends, the access to the game will also end. You either need to subscribe to EA Access, or purchase Sims 4 after the subscription ends to continue to play Sims 4 or any other EA Access game.

    You can purchase Cats and Dogs bundled in the Microsoft Store on the XBox with My First Pets. This bundle is the Cats and Dogs Expansion, with the My first pets included free.

    Console does get sales, and it's probably best to wait for them, otherwise the price is very high for all the packs.

    As for how to change the hair style and skin, you can do this from the manage households screen before you enter the game. The button for households is at the top right of the screen before you select a world to enter and play. You can then edit the Sim any way you want. For Skin and hair and eyes, you have to click on the head to zoom in and open the head options.

    You can also do this while in the game playing by having a sim select "Change Sim" on a dresser or mirror.
