Cottage living grim reaper bug

Please fix this bug. the reaper comes for the chicken and the goats and never leaves. just continues to kill all the animals. I've started putting them in my inventory and he will disappear for a little. even with mods I can't seem to stop him from coming. I'd like to turn off the grim reaper all together.
