Custom Music Question

Due to the Lovestruck update, I had to create an entirely new Sims 4 folder on my computer and have the folders inside regenerate themselves.

I was just looking through the folders and realized that there weren't any premade tracks in the Custom Music folder. I know you're able to (and potentially encouraged) to add your own music, but I wasn't sure where the premade tracks went. Is anyone aware of how to potentially get them back?

I just started playing with sound for the first time since like 2015 and there will be just extremely generic noise playing so I was wondering where all the tracks went. If I can't get them again, I was just going to go on YouTube to find some, but it would just be a lot easier if I could have the premade ones again so I wouldn't have to spend time searching for songs for each genre.

Thanks in advance!

  • @nianoona The premade tracks are in the game files and not stored in that folder.

The tracks are played on the stereo and don't replace the background music. Do you not have them there either ?

Apologies for the very delayed response! But no, there's no songs playing when I click on radios or stereos. It's all just different versions of generic sound. I think one time, it literally just sounded like wind blowing and it was creeping me out so I stopped playing it. Whenever I play any station, no songs actually play.

Also notice the "Safe for Streaming" Setting. Could be you enabled that and so music that might cause a video to be taken down isn't playing. Since there are over 300 songs (if you have all packs) and the majority of those songs are real songs by real artists, just sung in simlish. I'd imagine that a large chunk of them aren't safe for streaming.
