Deco Gig Got Violent?

Okay,  so I had a gig with a sim who's never ever been high mischief or mean.  She's outgoing,  creative and clumsy.

She went to a home in Evergreen... where Cletus lives.... and it was just a room reno.

Any room.

So I did the kitchen with suburban Contempo,  avoided white and put in a microphone for "likes comedy" all 3 matched the gig details

They got back and my Sim got tense and then each of the family members were extremely upset,  they started using mean interactions.  My Sim became angry.  Drinks were thrown.  Brawls were had. Even the kid was yelling at her

What in the world would have caused a reaction so severe when I met the requirements? It was legit a little stressful because I'm the one spending time doing a reno and not all of them are easy or quick only for her to get beat up and no pay.

In the end, I bulldozed the lot for catharsis and gave them tents,  grills,  bushes and off grid showers.  I made them extra eco friendly 😅 It was petty but I do feel better even though I have no idea what caused this? Was it a NAP? I have all naps disabled but I can't explain this one.

@wahini2024 , like @jpkarlsen said, I also think it was the brawling NAP .  I know you stated that you have disabled NAPs, but if this one was voted on and won before you disabled them then it will still remain unless you repeal them by gameplay or use a cheat.  Disabling NAPs in the Game Options will only prevent new NAPs from being enforced, but it won't do anything to the ones already voted on. 🤨

To repeal the active NAP you don't want, go to the voting board and choose the NAP you want to get rid of and click on it to start the repealing process.  You will need 5 signatures before the time is up for the repeal to be successful.  😉

If you want to use a cheat to get rid of a NAP you don't want, and you are on a PC, then open the cheat box by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C at the same time.  Then in the cheat box type testingcheats on and press the Enter button (testingcheats true and pressing Enter will also work).
Then you need to find the Neighborhood Action Plan Board or your mailbox and Shift-click on either one of those (press Shift while clicking on the NAP board or your Sims' mailbox) .  Some options will come up and if you have a NAP that is still enacted, you can choose it to instantly repeal ( not need to get signatures).  You can close the cheat by bringing up the Cheat Box again and in it type testingcheats off and hit Enter (testingcheats false and hitting Enter will also work.) 😊

I had to use cheats to instantly repeal a NAP that had been voted in before I disabled any new NAPs from being enforced.

    @PugLove888 @jpkarlsen

I checked the naps, though disabled,  they had some left over but none of them were brawl.  Juiced,  power and water conservation and tech.  I repealed all of them in Evergreen through the mailbox.

Without brawl being one,  I'm still unsure why things got so nasty at that deco with the Harris family 🤔

I guess they just really hated what they asked for 🤷🏼‍♀️

Remember that you must have someone living in a particular neighborhood to be able to see and repeal NAPs in that neighborhood.

You mentioned putting a microphone in the kitchen but a microphone do not belong in a kitchen. Before placing something in a room ask yourself if it belongs there. Sometimes there are just no way you can cater to all likes/dislikes. You will see more like that when you get to gigs where you have 5 different likes/dislikes.

@jpkarlsen , I have experimented with putting odd requests in rooms those things don't belong in.  Usually they love the room even with crazy things in it, as long as they have it as a like.  For example I've put skis in a kitchen before , and a coffee maker in a closet (they loved cooking) .  I've seen other YouTubers do the same and a lot of the time it is a success.  If they are a house you play rotationally , this isn't recommended because you will have to deal with these design choices when you play that house later, but if you don't play that house, or your don't play rotationally, it doesn't really matter as long as the clients are happy!

@wahini2024 do you have the Get Together EP and was this gig in the Windenburgh neighborhood?  That neighborhood is known to start fights easily (it is because of the rival clubs).  (edited because I realized you mentioned that the gig was at the Harris family which is not in Windenburgh.🤭 )   Or do you have Seasons and was it the holiday called Neighborhood Brawl?  🤔

@PugLove888 It wasn't neighborhood brawl day either, I checked the second they got angry. I've had clients in deco not like the design ("is just not my taste") but I still get paid and there isn't a fight so this stood out. They didn't even get to the verdict before the fight erupted. The kid started the fight, the negative friendship was going up but I don't know what he was angry about it just said unpleasant conversation. I used the prompt "try to calm down"on the kid.

Next thing I know they're stomping through the house, all of them, angry as a hornet and a fight happened in the street.

The end of the gig came, time wise, and my Sim was sent home without pay

I've used a snowboard as a shelf and put a dance floor in a bathroom because the more things I can check off the list... regardless of how bizarre... the better the gig goes. The Harris family gig was perhaps a fluke or... I'm not sure at this point but it's not happened since.
