-Height sliders.... I just want different heights in game, I would pay good money to be able to have my characters have different height and still have decent looking animation. Like just that as a $60 expansion pack, hell yeah I'd buy that.
-Spiral staircases and ladders... you know, to spice up build mode and houses.
-Preteens... kids starting puberty with crazy hormones and mood swings and fake dating and mixed responsibilities as a child but also a teenager.
-Color changer from sims 3... that was the bomb. What you want to use this furniture? Well to bad it's one shade different from the rest... But not anymore.
-Sliding doors and normal looking windows... enough said
I really would these things incorporated into the vanilla game/DLC please and thank you. I know I'm just dreaming here but man would it all be great to have. And I think these things can all be in future expansion packs and I'd definitely buy them as well as tons of other Simers. LMK what you guys think and what else you would add to the list.
1) I also want height sliders, or at least 3 pre chosen heights! However, the amount of revamping of the current game they would need to do in order to accomplish this is a huge amount! All the meshes for all the clothing would have to be redone, for all the age groups (at least child to adult/elder). I just don't think it is likely we could get that in The Sims 4.
2) I agree!!! We really need spiral stairs, L-shaped stairs, Switchback stairs, and curved staircases! ❤️🤞🥳 hopefully we will get them!
3) Preteens are tricky to make it worthwhile in a game … they are a combo of child and teen stages, which means no new gameplay. We already have moodswings for children and teens if you have the Parenthood GP! 😉 Most of the exciting stuff that a preteen would encounter is either already in the game, or is too embarrassing, gross, or controversial to be put in the game. ☹️ Most people want preteens to be taller than a child and shorter than a teen (which I would be all for!) but the problem is that EA made teens the same height as adults (less meshes for clothing that they would have to worry about, just like with the issue of having different heights in the game that we mentioned earlier.) The fake dating could be cute -- I don't' think I heard anyone suggest that before! 😇 But other than adding body hair, I don't think they are going to make a pack just for fake dating and body hair. 😕 Preteens really just sometimes act like a kid, and other times act like a teen, with the exception of like shaving for the first time (but for boys this is really when they are already a teen) or a first period for a girl (which most people don't want in the game (gross and embarrassing, and only the first time is exciting, because it gets old really fast! 🤒😃 ) But if EA could avoid the controversial parts and still find some new gameplay to give preteens that makes that life stage unique and worth the trouble of making, then that would be great! 😎
4) Ah the TS3 Color/Pattern Wheel (called Create A Style or CASt for short)! ❤️ I was soooooo addicted to this! 😳😃 So much so that I couldn't stop with new patterns and then taking each pattern and changing all the colors in it! :eahigh_file: Alas, it was downfall. Took over 20 min to open up Build/Buy Mode or the Wardrobe because all the color/patterns would have to load! 😮😠 Yes, this was my own fault, but I couldn't control myself. This was my absolute favorite thing about TS3!!! But apparently I wasn't the only person who had a problem with it since I've heard of a lot of people having the same issues with loading Build/Buy Mode or the wardrobe because of it. This is why it was left out in TS4 (along with an open world) -- EA wanted people with lesser computers to not have their game grind to a halt because of these features. 😞 For some people it made the game unplayable! 😢 Maybe if they ever make a TS5, they can add it to that! 😉🤞
5) I don't' know what you mean by "normal" looking windows (they look normal to me). 🤔😃 However, We do have sliding doors in TS4. 🙂 There were a couple that came with the Caribbean update patch we got last Summer! ❤️ There is a wooden one and a glass one. The glass one comes in regular and tall and the wooden one comes in regular and grand. Glass is called "Cha Cha Sliding Door" and wood is called "Island Mahogany Sliding Door". To find them quick, in Build Mode do a search for "sliding door". Here are some pics:
