Extended flickering shadows when customizing pets

 I have recently noticed that whenever I choose and customize a pet for my sims, where the shadow is supposed to be normal it extends past the pet's original form and starts to flicker in and out like some sort of glitch. 

For now, this does not seem to affect the overall customization but the pet does tend to do strange things during game play such as; remain in the tub for long periods of time causing the completion cycle to stay at  1/4 instead of closing out the ring so the pet can leave the tub.

 If it's a dog, going on adventures causes the pet to go in and out of the house a few times.  After that, it goes around in circles before spawning out with the sim for the adventure.
