Feedback on Likes and Dislikes of Premade Sims

I haven't played the career yet, but I suspected this, since most features in the sims are random. I guess one good argument for it is to enhance flexibility for the player, and add the element of surprise and therefore replayability. I myself do not like not to have control and for the world to be illogical like that though, so I plan to give all my sims in all my worlds Likes /Dislikes before I play the career, but I think I would click Me Too on a bug report made on this anyway. 

@The_Ratticator , yes I can understand why they did it this way, but I agree with you and @DonroaAkashu  that it would have been better to assign a few crucial traits to premade Sims! 

I guess if we get a premade Sims with a like or dislike that is conflicting with their personality, we just have to pretend that we are in a parallel universe! 🙃🤪😂

I saw in a James Turner video on YouTube where he had do a room for the Pleasant sisters, but Lilith disliked Gothic Farmhouse décor, despite her persona being Goth! 🤦‍♀️😅 But she did love Bowling! 🤣 So he made her a room with bowling décor without actually using a bowling alley (it wouldn't fit).  It turned out nice, I thought! 😃

Is it even a possibility for an update to alter the likes/dislikes of Sims that pre-existed that patch?

I expect that all pre-made townies included in future packs from now on will have pre-selected likes and dislikes.

I’m just wondering if it’s even possible for EA to update NPCs that already exist in a save file. I guess they could upload new versions of old pre-mades and you could individually delete and replace townies that existed before the  likes/dislikes update? Or maybe Sims’ randomly generated likes/dislikes could be filtered by their traits! It wouldn’t stop a Bella Goth in someone’s save file from disliking red, but maybe a Marcus Flex wouldn’t generate a dislike for fitness at least.

@ChapelParalysis , I don't know ... that is a good question! 🤔🙂 I wish they did have that option, but I don't expect them to.  I do really hope for future pre-made Sims they will choose the likes/dislikes that fit with their personalities! 🤞

@The_Ratticator I created a thread about them updating the premade Sims.  It is located here:  Default Characters Need Their Templates Updated - Answer HQ (ea.com).  In my thread, I go deeper because I would like them to update the swimwear and outerwear options for the default characters. When they add more to the game and don't update the premade character files, those files can have the ability to corrupt the game.

@ChapelParalysis @PugLove888 Yes, it is possible for them to update the premade characters files.  The updates will only apply to a brand new game, not to an existing save.

@DonroaAkashu I left a reply on the bug report you posted explaining why I don't think it is a bug.

@canelacaliente , I know it is possible for them to be able to update existing character files... what I meant was that  I wasn't sure if it would be possible for them to be able to do it from a practical standpoint ... updating all of the preexisting character files would take a lot of time, but that would require workers to be paid. Since this would be an extensive task, I don't think it would be worth their time to go through all the existing characters for a free update.  That is what I meant by I wasn't sure if they could do it or not.  😉 

I think they'd be better off putting versions of those Sims on the gallery with likes and dislikes- most of the premade Sims from expansions are long dead in my game since I've played the same game for a while with aging on
