mine is having trouble with this too.
It keeps telling me to go online to save my progress to claim the reward, Ive tried fixes suggested in other threads, turning the online social option on/off, restarting, etc. the other parts of the quest are done until the "buy a frame" bit.
anyone have suggestions?
I play thru Steam, but everything is working now, thank you. I just logged in, and its connecting normally.

Im playing on a pc, no mods. after this I was trying to access the gallery and it will not connect online, gets stuck there also.
this morning I backed up the files and verified the game, and its still the same

I had the same thing happen on my PC through the EA app. I just closed and saved my game and then went back to it. I then got the frame through build/buy. Took me some fanangling to find it though
I've been having the same issue over the past few days. I've tried repairing the game several times, restarting the EA app (I'm on PC), signing in and out (over the past three days, several times), restarting my computer, letting a new Sims 4 folder generate, and even modless (with the newly generated Sims 4 folder), I've got no access to the gallery or the event rewards. I'm not sure what else to do.
I'm having the same issue.
Everytime I try and collect my rewards I get the pop-up "online connection is required" despite me being online, google works on my laptop, i've tried going from my hotspot, closing out the game, logging out and back in my EA account and nothing! I collected some rewards earlier today but then my sim got stuck in a vet exam and I had to troubleshoot to get out of that. HELP!!! I was trying to play through the event tasks on my birthday as a treat to myself but this is beyond frustrating. I have no mods or custom content in my game.
