Hi! No mods or cc. I'm playing on mac.
Yeah, I try to remember to save it to the library... I guess now I will learn to never forget that.
It was the 2B Jasmine Suites!
Thank you for answering! :D
@Picolis1206 Okay, thanks for the extra info. I'm going to try to replicate what you're seeing in my test save.
Edit: By the way, do you have Eco Lifestyle? If so, do you have the sharing is caring NAP? I don't know if it can happen that fast, but wondered if your neighbors stole all your stuff but felt bad and left your plant behind?
2nd edit: Unfortunately, I was not able to replicate the issue there. I went into my save, opened 2B Jasmine Suites in build mode, then made some changes. I even used the alt move on a couple of items. After that, I backed out and moved in a household. They were able to use the computer and cook some eggs and toast. I clicked manage worlds and saved, then evicted the household. I quit the game but when I went back to 2B Jasmine, I found everything in place in build mode; even the eggs and toast.
I'd like to suggest a repair if you haven't already done that. You'll need to exit the game and right click on the game in Origin, then select repair. Be sure to save lots to library first, if you're worried about losing them. The repair can take some time depending on how many packs you own. Please let the repair run on all packs before opening the game again.
- 5 years ago@JonaO703 Hi!! No, I don't have Eco Lifestyle :/
Thank you for trying to replicate the problem! I really don't know what happened. And yes, I tried repairing but with no success.
The weird thing is that the building thumbnail still recognises all the furnishing when showing the apartment, but the lot's furnishing prices are 0$. The fact that all of the wallpapers I last used are still there, and there was one single plant in the room is weird too. But either way, thank you for helping me! I will never forget to save it, like I usually do.- JonaO7035 years agoHero
@Picolis1206 It is definitely a strange issue. When you say thumbnail, I'm thinking you mean the view of the apartments after you click on the building from world view. Is that correct? I'm willing to bet that view is based on some cached image that was created when you originally exited the lot after building.
Something else to possibly try is to restore an earlier save. Basically, the game autosaves, which I believe is what @CGrant56 was talking about; re: the different save file versions. You can actually recover them from the main Load Game menu; like restoring previous versions of a Word document. When you click on any game save, there will be a little floppy disk with a curly arrow next to the play button. Clicking that will open a menu of available saves to recover (only the last five saves). When you recover one, a new game save is created with "recovered" added to the title. Perhaps you could try restoring the saves around the time you were building and see if your build was saved by some happy accident. Even if only some progress got saved, it might save you a bit of time?
If you already started rebuilding that apartment, I'd be curious if you've had any more issues with it. One thing to keep in mind is that if your save was corrupted somehow, as CGrant56 suggested, you may continue seeing odd issues like that.

@JonaO703 and @CGrant56 Im sorry for taking so long to reply! I was having a break from The Sims. I have just opened my game to try out the suggestions you guys made, but apparently the game erased all of my lots and went back to where it was on november of 2019.... Yeah. I think I know what happened tho.
When my inicial apartment problem happened I went on my saves files to look for that save. I noticed that the most recent one was from november of 2019. I thought that was strange, but it coincides with the time I started to play on Legacy Edition. (My Legacy Edition save folder also only has saves from 2019). Either way, I didn't touch it bc I knew it would mess up my game. I think at some point of my attempts to repair the apartment problem I must have recovered those saves. And now I'm in 2019 again.
Thank you for all your help! If that same problem happens again I'll let you know. Right now I'm still trying to get over the fact that I lost everything hahahah. Oh well... Thanks again!
