Game does’t Acknowledge my Sim as aged up

I’ve been having this issue with a lot of aspects of the game. The game just does not acknowledge changes to my sims. This includes aging up, graduations, and turning into occults. 
we’ve had 2 updates since I’ve had this issue and it still has not been resolved. I can’t move forward with gameplay without my sims being able to age up properly. 
I’m I just threw my teenage sim a birthday party. I have auto aging turned on and my life span set to normal. I aged him up 3 days early and when he blew out the candles I got no notification wall message that he entered young adulthood, or the trait menu to give him a young adult trait. I didn’t receive any of his character value traits from parenthood either. It’s as if he never aged up. But he is a young adult

I Had the same issue on a different save where I tried to turn my pre existing sim into a vampire. She turned from Vlad, I got the hunger and thirst moodlets, but when the moodlet changed to ravinous thirst indicating she had turned into a vampire nothing happened. Her needs menu didn’t change and she didn’t get the occult plumbob

WHAT IS THIS ISSUE. frankly I’m sick and tired of all the updates and nothing getting fixed
