Game lag or stop completely

Hi guys. I have been having this same issue for a couple of months now pertaining to my game at the top of the window saying (not responding). I few days ago I couldn’t even load a family because it was sending me back to the world map view but once I started deleting mods and cc and repaired 3 times it worked but now I’m still stuck with horrible lagging and  the (not responding) bar message. I haven’t been able for some time now to play the game smoothly. I just want to find a fix or something to correct this. Any suggestions ?

    shaquanta1996​  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

    Please also let me know whether the game lags in a new save with new sims in a default EA house.  This is just for comparison's sake; you don't need to abandon your current saves.
