game says Sim has trait that she doesn't

I'm playing a new household with a Sim that I got from the Gallery. But I changed her traits, and the game is still acting like she has the original ones. She is currently tense from the materialistic trait, but I deleted that trait earlier. 
I gave her foodie, loves outdoors, paranoid, and essence of flavor. I went into CAS full edit mode to double check , and there is no materialist anymore. 
Any way to fix this? :( I am sad.
(I have no mods)

    You'll need to re-add the trait via cheat and then remove it again.

    Unfortunately, this didn't work. I re-added it in 'cas full edit' for several hours, then removed it. But the next day (sim time), she is tense again from not fulfilling materialistic desires.

    You need to use the trait cheat. Cas is what bugs it.

    You will probably need to temp remove one of your others

    • traits.remove_trait Foodie
    • traits.equip_trait Materialistic
    • traits.remove_trait Materialistic
    • traits.equip_trait Foodie
