Good morning! I had the first issue as well, but unfortunately I don't know If It's solvable, you can try to avoid turning off your game when they're at school or make them go back to school when they're back by clicking the little bag icon right next to the aspiration and It's supposed to show a " Send to school" interaction under the days of the week, snow in spring is also quite common in real life as well! I play with 28 day long season and during the first week It often still snows! You can turn off snow in the settings and turn it back on when winter starts, or If you'd prefer you can keep It off!
