WingedSnek Because of a number of in-depth play goals (traits, aspirations, etc.) that I've played quite aggressively recently and never die before, I ran into several bugs that I had to work around via removing a trait then re-adding it afterward... or a couple of times to add ons that never got credited (or was lost when I saved to my library then placed the sim in a new save) - though it was earned.
Anyway, I found out a few things:
1. The ability to raise or lower a skill via cheat is currently broken. (I used it initially to lower a few skills my toddler or infant had gotten too high to access another aspiration, but it was a broken cheat when I tried it on later infant/toddlers).
2. There are directions here for the add/remove cheat process, and a list of some of the traits earned via aspirations and other ways. I used this a few times to remove a trait that had been earned that was blocking my ability to earn something else. Then I later could re-add the one I removed. : https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/traits/cheats.php
3. Another article about the toddler cheats: https://www.ign.com/wikis/the-sims-4/Growing_Together_Cheats#Toddler_Cheats
4. I did find that some of the traits' cheat codes names have been changed. In a couple of cases I had to experiment with several different cheat codes I found in order to have it work, and in the case of a couple I found the code had changed to having a _ (underscore) added into the name. It was very frustrating, but in a few cases my experimenting paid off.
5. If this is the issue and it's different from the bug report you mentioned, I will include it if it's of any use to you: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-GRO-Toddler-milestone-max-movement-skill-won-t-complete/td-p/12403747
Personally, I usually did it by adding the term 'trait_' again after the space like in the example below (also an example of adding the _ (underscore/s):
To equip a toddler milestone cheat, use the command "traits.equip_trait trait_Top_Notch_Toddler" in the cheat box, which will give your toddler the "Top Notch Toddler" trait. (Enable testingcheats true before using the cheat.)
None of this is a fix for what you're mentioning (which you were aware of and made a bug report about), but I mention them in case something there is helpful since you're looking for workarounds.
