How to turn off time-limited events
I want to do the Reaper's Rewards quest in one save but I don't want it popping up in every household in every save. How do I turn it off?

@keekee53 I absolutely agree. Daily rewards should never be something everyone should participate in, especially when there's players out there that play The Sims 4 for a very specific purpose and events like this are a conflict for those players. Not allowing players to opt out of this is just bad business IMO, especially if it's causing tons of frustration.
yes it worked as I creates a new game in my solution, you might to shares on the community board also
@keekee53 Deleting accountDataDB.package can reset your progress on the tasks for the event, but it won't remove the items you've already redeemed from your account. And after the latest patch, it won't remove the first set of login rewards either—these were added to the base game because of how many players lost them through no fault of their own.
You can always simply remove the file rather than deleting it, and restore it if you don't like the results or you want to go back to playing the event without losing progress on the tasks.

I hate this event. Not only have I been hindered with excessive lag, it has made my game unplayable. I have to hard use task manager to exit after 20-30 min of freeZing. It also resets everytime I log back in even though I have saved many times. I never asked for this and I want it gone.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just play the game
What happens when the bug occurs? Just playing the game. The very obnoxious Reaper's Rewards Event UI taking up the whole upper left corner of the screen and constantly flashing. There are plenty of players who are NOT interested in this event yet we are forced to deal with the obnoxious UI and prompts on our screen at all times, as well as all the subsequent laggy and buggy issues the event is causing in game and likely will for the several painful weeks this event is going to take.
What do you expect to see? An option for players who are NOT interested in participating in the event to opt out/disable it in their game.
