I need help with pc choice

Hi all, I'm currently on a Macbook pro (need for work) but its just not cutting it with the sims anymore so i'm looking to get a separate desktop pc, However, i have absolutely no idea!!!! I live ...

@champion_hustler That build overall would do just fine: it should run Sims 4, all packs included, on ultra settings with no trouble at all. I would upgrade the hard drive to a 500 GB model though, just so you don't have to worry about storage. The WD Blue (+43) is a good choice, although the Seagate Barracuda or WD Green (+33) should also be fine.

You don't technically need more memory; 8 GB is enough for Sims 4. However, if you like to multitask while playing, particularly if you like to have multiple browser windows open, you may want to go to 16 GB. That's not a decision you need to make now though—RAM is very easy to add after the fact. If you do upgrade, don't go below 2666 MHz RAM, which is what you've selected now. AMD processors perform better with fast memory, up to a point.

It looks like you've picked good components overall, and the nice thing is, this build should support an upgrade to the CPU or GPU if and when you want one. Given your preferred budget, I think the configuration is a very good choice.
