interaction bug

So for the past 3 days my sims get stuck doing nothing they won't move or do any assigned tasks. I also can't adopt any pets. I've restarted game multiple times and I've also moved things around my lots to try to fix the adoption part, but nothing is working!!! Please help its getting frustrating playing like this!!!
