Invisible Ground After Placing Platforms in Basement - Glitch?

Hello,

I placed some platforms the basement floor of a build of mine (it's a vampire lair underneath the house) and everything was fine when I was playing. However, when I reloaded the game, I looked and the ground had become invisible (see through) in some places. I also noticed that these were underneath individual platforms in the basement. Changing these platforms seems to also show signs of the terrain glitch (terrain follows the rise and fall of the platforms).

My question is: Is there a way to fix this? If not, I'll probably just jump off the Sims 4.

My account is Wilder_King50 on the Gallery, in case anyone is wondering. The house is uploaded to public view on there, so you can fool around with it. It's called Fangs Nook 🙂

  • @Wilder_King50 I've had many funky things happen when I use platforms closer than one tile to an outer wall. This may be more complicate also if it's a basement. Just thought I'd mention this. However, in your case I found that if I clicked the wall on each of the two areas that are missing a ceiling in the basement as follows, and then, from the main floor level while still selected I clicked the yellow 'build ceiling' line, the ceiling did fill in in those two areas. If this explanation isn't detailed enough, check here.

  • I did not even KNOW there was a build ceiling function, but thank you so much for letting me know lol

@Wilder_King50 You’re very welcome! 😊 I’m happy it addressed your issue, and that you now have another building tool in your belt. Happy building!

  • This absolutely did the trick. This issue was driving me insane. I also had no idea there was a build ceiling function 😆
