I don't know where else to post this, so I apologise if it's in the wrong place. My sim has tried over and over again to adopt non white children. Every single time they arrive home, though, the children are very white. I assume it's because my sim is white, but I don't see why that would cause the adoptees to change? I'm using MCCC and no other mods, if it's any help, but I've never had this issue before with MCCC
Please try the following in this order without skipping any steps, even if you’ve done some of these steps already:
Do not re-add any of your Mods or CC at this time. Please then restart your game and do not enter your previous game-save but begin a new game. See if the issue is present in this new game-save.
If this fixes the issue you can re-add your Mods/CC one at a time to see which were conflicting with the function/causing the glitch - but do not re-add the old Resource.cfg file from the old Mods folder, as it is possible for it to have become corrupted. If you have a lot of Mods or CC you can do so by via the 50/50 method. Let me know if you need directions on this.
@UntitledSock, in addition to what @SheriGR suggested, I just want to say that this is not normal behavior in the game! 🤨 I had a while elderly couple in adopt a very dark skinned little girl in my game and she always kept all her features including her skin color.🙌 While this adoption happened over a year ago, it is the only one I've had where light skinned Sims adopted a dark skinned child. None of my other adoptions changed skin color either, but those adoptions had similar skin colors between the adopted parents and the adopted child. I might test this in my game to see if this is a new bug (since I don't use any Mods or CC), but I think @SheriGR is probably correct! 😉
