Is my save broken? or is my game broken?

Hi, is anyone having a issue with their game breaking overnight? I was playing the game perfectly fine on Tuesday, no issues whatsoever, I turn the game on, on Wednesday and suddenly my game is broke...

@jpkarlsen No, I'm on PC!
I had to create an entirely new save, I spoke to EA Help and they told me to take the Sims 4 folder out, reload the game so it's fresh & everything was okay after that!

@ksimss Does your old save now work to or did you have to start a new one ?

  @crinrict No, it didn't work, I had to create an entirely new save & restart my whole Sims 4 folder fresh; so crazy, I have no idea what happened, I think it's just best to keep that save file out of my game?
