[Island Living] Do Waterproof Mermaids Hydrate in Rain?
Does anyone know how the Waterproof Reward Trait affects Mermaids? The Trait description says "Waterproof Sims do not get wet in the rain." If a Mermaid has this trait, will it stop them from filling their Hydration Need by standing/showering in the rain? Is it even useful for a Mermaid at all? The original intent of the Trait was to stop negative Moodlets for most Sims from getting soaked in a downpour, but since it hydrates them, I'd think Mermaids wouldn't get negative Moodlets from getting drenched, but I can't really be sure of any of this.
@iamsweetmystery Hi! That's a good question. The Waterproof trait does not seem to have any affect on mermaids. I wasn't entirely sure about that, so I tested it. I have two mermaid sims. One has the Waterproof trait and the other does not. I had both of them stand outside in heavy rain for a couple of hours. The hydration need replenished for both of them. The one without the trait did not get any negative moodlet and didn't even have the normal dripping that sims get after being out in the rain.
