I'm glad at least some people don't mind this pack. I bought it right away because I wanted to have the ability to use lightsabers, as my custom Sims are the main characters in a game where swords are used. I wanted to make them fight XD
I went there with a vampire too and was afraid he would burn alive in the sun, but in Batuu the rules are different, it's like a big theme park (that's how I see it) and nothing ever happened to him.
One of them is a good Sim so he's pursued a career in the Resistance, the other is in the First Order.
There's a little bug you may not know about, if you have two Sims living in the same house and they both have a lightsaber in their inventory, when you click auto-solving hygiene, instead of going to the shower or bath, they'll want to duel together... There is already a bug report in the dedicated section, if you happen to encounter it too, go put a Me too.
I don't understand all this hate sincerely, it's a decent pack to spend your Sim's vacations in, and it's pretty fun too, in my opinion many players are just biased.

Yeah, my vampire has perfect sun resistance, but I can see that. (It’s Caleb, lol, I made him a Silver Screen icon!) I sent a (different) vampire to Sylvan Glade and loaded him up on sunlight reversal cocktail, but quickly realized that he wasn’t using it and the rules in Sylvan Glade are different, too. Then I kicked myself because when Super was a vampire we never went because I was afraid she’d burn in the sun and the first thing we did when she got sun resistance was visit Sylvan Glade again. We love Sylvan Glade and even finished the Outdoor Enthusiast aspiration camping in Sylvan Glade (I cheated in a bush).
My super Sim now has two lightsabers but no one else in her family does. I only brought them for fun. 😀 That said… LOL!
It’s a fun pack, my quibbling about how needs are handled aside. I’m assuming that certain copyright holders had some kind of objection to toilets. It looks like they went to a lot of effort to handle needs. My Sims are still obsessed with washing their hands in a galaxy far, far away so I’m glad I gave them sinks.
