Lightsaber Problem + Question

Love the game! I have a bug and a question.

Bug - When you try to spar with light saber it more than often says "CHARACTER NAME does not have a light saber" while you were just playing that household and that sim surely does have a light saber on him / her.

Question - When will we ramp up the AI in the Sims 4? Will my Sim ever be able to just leave his place and go to a club, gym, spa, etc? They only go where you tell them too. Basically I'm asking if we will have even more advanced autonomy.
