@BarbieNdahoodthe reason that Butlers can't cook Grand Meals is that Butlers came in a Stuff Pack before the Grand Meal was introduced in the Seasons Expansion Pack. I do not know if this was intentional or oversight, but my guess is oversight, as it isn't that likely that Maxis would think to go back to tweak butlers since they came in a Stuff Pack instead of a larger Game Pack or Expansion Pack. 🤔
As for the Sims 4 map and world, it will never be like the Sims 3 map and world since both games are built on completely different engines! 🤨 This was done because the open world in TS3 caused many, many problems for almost most players in TS3.😞 While it is true that todays computers can better handle an open world than they could when TS3 was the latest Sims game, and even when TS4 started, the fact remains that at the time, most computers couldn't handle TS3.
Loading screens in TS4 usually only last 10 seconds and once you load the venue, it is always full of people to interact with.🙌 This was not the case in TS3, as the game would become slower and slower, often stopping for 10-20 minutes 😢, and sometimes crashing all together 😞, which you would have to start the game again and 20-30 min later you could try to play again.😠 And then if you ever actually reached your destination, the venue would usually be devoid of people to interact with. 😢 You would wait there until your Sim had to go to work or had to go back home to take care of their needs that couldn't' be dealt with at the venue. So basically , you just diminished your Sims needs for no benefit! 🤒
This would take a lot longer than the mere 10 seconds it takes to load a venue in TS4!!!!! 🤨
So, if you really want to play with an open world then you can still play TS3! Or, you can continue to play TS4 and learn to appreciate other aspects about it! Or you can wait and see if TS5 (if and when there will be a TS5, which would be at least 2 years away) is more to your liking. 😉
Which version you choose is up to you, but either way, Happy Simming! 🥳
