Loading Screen Stuck
When I'm trying to play my save game it gets stuck on a loading screen until I have to Alt. Tab to get out of it. I don't have any mods or anything, it just randomly started happening!

UPDATE: I finally moved my entire sims folder to the desktop and let my game create a new one and that seems to have worked. I don't usually blame mods for these kinda things cause (at least in my experience) the mods aren't usually the cause unless they are outdated, but in my case they do seem to be the issue.
After I noticed the game would load this way, I am starting to add mods in sections so I can see which ones are okay and which are not. I have my suspicions but sometimes there will be that one surprise one that doesn't work right.
At least from this point, that seems to have worked for my game, so I would start with a new sims folder and see how that does.
OLD POST: I'm having the same issue. I normally use mods but I was following the no-mod advice after today's update and loaded up the game without any mods. It worked fine the first time. Then I tried to add mods and it loaded a bluish screen (like it was trying to open something) and stopped right after clicking the "x" on the mods list. I started going through the mods to see if one of them was causing it but after removing the entire mod folder, I realized the game wasn't working either way. I restarted my computer, repaired the game, deleted cache files, and now I can't get anywhere passed the initial loading screen. The game just freezes up until I have to force quit.
Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.
