More SIMCITY gameplay (SIMS Were Meant to LIVE in Your SIMCITIES)

So many people requesting HOTELS for a 2024 thing and I keep thinking about how TOURISM works in SIMCITY.

If you don't have a natural VACATION region like the ones in The SIMS you have to add features & attractions that lure in SIMS from other regions and the world at large. There are basic Road-Side attractions, Small time Gambling lots and Casinos, famous landmarks, Cultural lots, stadiums...

You can spend City Funding on Tourism Promotion, funding more parks and beautification...

Having a local bus SHUTTLE service helps. Parking lots...

Which brings me back to adding in a SIMCITY ECONOMY system and the want for the SIMCITY screens where you can manage things like the above from A CITY HALL WORLD.

For interesting game-play, populating the CITY HALL World with great political SIMS, Business Sims, City Planners, etc. could open more and more options in the management screens.

Aside. I created some great political sims but they are basically worthless to the world and worlds overall. They don't have any function and don't open more game-play options when reaching the top.

In SIMCITY 2012 you also needed a specific LOT for the Transportation and TOURISM Departments.

To try and wrap it up:

HOTELS, famous landmarks, road-side attractions, gambling, parks, cultural lots..., ... could ALL be bundled together to create small, larger and grand tourism worlds/cities. That it would be nice to have functions for political career SIMS who can operate in a City Hall/Government World with SIMCITY screens to manage budgets and allocate connections and infrastructure.  

This is all just scratching at the surface of ideas that could be some seriously deep game-play and give sims meaning.

@ttuthill   Hi!  I never played SimCity or those other titles but I'm intrigued by the concept.  I'm a big fan of cross-title play / interaction.

Also, you're very brave to taunt the Swifties like that.  May heaven help you. ;-)

I really recommend SIMS players try SIMCITY and think about all the wonderful things that could happen if you had lots of custom SIMS.

It could open up a lot of ideas for SIMS players as far as wondering 'WHERE to go in 2024 and beyond (Rene)!?"

I also recommend SIMS players look on YouTube for STREETS of SIMCITY videos and SIMCopter to have an idea what would have been possible if MAXIS had stuck to making the titles cross-compatible.  For people who want CARS and such, STREETS of SIMCity might blow your minds!
