my game isnt working

i recently got the sims 4 on my very first computer so i dont really know anything about technology which is why i'm here. my game was working fine before i downloaded some cc, i'm pretty sure it was just clothes and hair and it was all downloaded from patreon. i do have basemental drugs but i dont think that is the issue because i've had it for a while and it only happened after downloading stuff. is there something i need to delete? the issue i'm having is i cant click on build mode and when i load into the lot i can only see the outside of my house and i cant put down the walls or floors. please help lol

here is a screenshot of what it looks like. also this isnt even the house i clicked on it just keeps bringing me here for some reason

  • Hello! I don't recall having a similar problem, so there might be an obvious reason that I'm not familiar with. But here are two things you can try:

    1. Repair game. This can be done in the EA app. It might take a while. Sometimes the game can get problems that are easily solved by repairing. Never had to do this myself, though.
    2. Check your downloads. Even if you have mainly CAS CC, they can be corrupted, especially if they are old files that never were updated by the creator. I have plenty of old CC myself that still work fine, though. It is also easy to think you have just CAS stuff, but there might be some mod involved that you might not be fully aware of. So, you should move your entire Mods folder to desktop, then restart your game and see if you now get access to those problem lots. If problem was fixed, you will know for sure that the culprit is in the Mods folder. By adding back groups of CC files and restart your game, you will eventually find what file is the problem. The quickest way is to add 50%, the you will know what half to look closer a, by splitting that group of files 50/50 too. Or, if you have just about 100 files you can add 20 files at the time until the problem returns.
