My Sims won't woohoo

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.59.73.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Nothing
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know what you mean; see below
What happens when the bug occurs? When I try to make any sims woohoo/try for baby, they get excited about it, but then my Sim flags me down and says they can't get there. I've cleared the space around the bed, added a door, added a whole new bed in a cleared space. Other sims can use the bed, but no one will woohoo on any bed. They are all double beds.
What do you expect to see? Sims should go woohoo
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I don't know what else I can tell you that will help; sorry

@crinrict  I apologize for not being clearer.  I agree with you on the objects themselves.  They have no impact on whether you can woohoo or not.  You did get the gist of where I was going though.  What I was really trying to say was that their mere presence leads me to believe that there is a toddler or child in the household and you can't woohoo if they are present in the room where you want to woohoo.  As best as I can see, the double beds are in spaces which are not separated from the rest of the floor, particularly on the 2nd floor.  There is a single bedroom and a bathroom up there, but otherwise, the floor is are wide open so if a child or toddler (I can't remember on babies atm) is anywhere other than the bathroom and that single bedroom on that floor, woohoo won't work since the game sees it as a single space.  Same goes for the lower floor and the location of the double bed that has the two toddler beds very close by.

@88keysofsadism  My suggestion to you is to put some interior walls with doors in to create completely separate rooms for the double beds.  That should fix your problem assuming you do have kids in the house.  It's good to know that the beds with only a half tile are accessible.  I didn't know that since in earlier versions of the sims franchise (Sims 2), you couldn't do that.  You had to have at least a full tile to get into the bed.  In general, I've found that sims like a lot of space to maneuver to avoid route failures and I build my houses with at least 1 clear tile around the beds on the sides.  I typically use 1 and a half tiles where I can most times though.  If you can get into the bed from both sides, then you can woohoo in it.  So that is not what is causing your problem.

I had just downloaded a house from a very reputable simmer, but my sims could only woohoo in the money pile.  They wouldn't woohoo anywhere else.  Tried all sorts of things, but to no avail.  I dowloaded my old house from my library and hey presto!  They could woohoo anywhere they liked whenever!  They just had triplets. 'nuff said!  Anyway it wasn't a problem with the lot, mods or bad saves, just the house, just try a new house.  Hope this helps anyone else.

I do not work For EA, but I do like to help people if I can
Keep on simming and have fun!

Helping to keep The Sims Sim-ple!

  • I have none of the issues you mentioned but suddenly none of the woohoo options work. They will ask their partner then it just disappears and they don't do anything.
