no needs reward traits not working as advertised

Needs No One - Sims that Need No One never need to socialize.
Forever Fresh - Forever Fresh Sims never need to shower or bathe!
Forever Full - Forever Full Sims never need to eat!
Never Weary - Never Weary Sims never need sleep.

Given their names/descriptions shouldn't those reward traits keep respective needs locked to max no matter what (currently it's just their natural decay which gets eliminated while certain interactions might still drain them)? If I send my Sim (who supposedly never needs to eat or sleep) go rock climbing/angling for big catch, in the long run she does end up hungry/tired (same with social and hygiene).

p.s. Bladder need going down despite Steel Bladder while drinking is fine as this one reward states "Sims with a Steel Bladder rarely have to pay attention to their Bladder Need."

I'm acutely aware those traits always worked like that (and that they got introduced with the JA patch), it's just that according to their names/descriptions this shouldn't be the case.

  • kusurusu  Those traits have always worked that way.  Nothing new.  They only keep their respective motives from gradually decaying when you aren't directing the sims to do things that will cause the motives to go down.  But like, in the case of Steel Bladder, if you direct your sim to drink a bar drink or when they get the push to get a drink of water, bladder will still go down.  Same with the others at times, there are times when your sim will get dirty, hungry or need to sleep and you have to take steps to remedy the lowered motives because of something that happens in the game like triggering a trap in the JA temple and getting one of the curses that cause a motive to drop.  There are lots of little things throughout the game that will cause one or more to go down but if you don't trigger anything that causes a motive drop, they will stay maxed.   Even when they do go down from some of the things you have a sim doing, sims with the traits don't usually have anywhere near the motive drop as they do for a sim without the traits.

    Hope this helps.
