Ok What Mod broke the shower Woohoo?

@RavenLureIn addition to taking those troubleshooting steps to eliminate any mod-related issues, please verify it is not a routing problem caused by the shower location. Shower woohoo appears to take more space than simply taking showers. From what I've seen there needs to be an open space directly in front of the shower plus another open space just to the right.

If removing your mods does not fix this problem, can you upload a screenshot of how you have your shower placed in your bathroom?

also I cannot  do events eitther just one more thing.

@RavenLure So the shower/tub combos are working fine? You are just having trouble with regular showers?

Removing your mods and custom content for testing can be done fairly quick and easy. Just move the contents of your Mods folder to a safe location like a temp folder on your desktop or an external drive. Then delete the localthumbcache.package from your Sims 4 folder.

Disabling or turning off both mod/cc options in your Game Settings isn't enough of a test. Removing the mods folder without deleting the localthumbcahche.package file from your Sims 4 folder also isn't enough of a test. It all has to be done together.

Start your game and see if the showers are working fine now. As @Psychotps said, after testing make sure you exit the game without saving.
- If the showers work fine now, then yes it's probably an outdated mod or CC
- If they still do not work, then maybe it's just a routing problem

Please let us know either way. It's too difficult to recommend any further steps for you to try without first knowing if this problem is caused by mods/CC or not.

For the issue with Events not working properly for you, it's best if you could research existing topics to determine if what you are seeing has already been reported & if a fix has already been found. If not, then please start a new topic for that issue so we can focus on just one problem per thread. Add as many details as you can!

Okay – best bet (in my opinion) is it might be an outdated shower mod if you have script mods that is. Like one that makes it so that you can take quick showers / baths.

If you have lilmisssam’s script mods I would suggest doing a scan for updates whenever games come out and also basically just weekly?...or daily even depending on when you run the sims.

This is really simple when you use say patreon for sims mods (you don’t always have to subscribe, just following them can tell you when major updates happen to the free mods some modders make – the ones typically hosted at their own sites like lilmisssam’s mods tend to be).

Another good option as many have said is to remove your mods or make a backup to your mods folder by editing the name of the folder and adding in mods one at a time to see what is broken.

Also GREAT mod to put in is twistedmexi’s betterexceptions as it can sometimes tell you when LE’s happen as it sounds to me like a LE could generate in this situation. Nice thing is BE has the potential to update itself when you are in game rather than leaving the game to run it.

No these  game showers and I am going to assume base game showers. That came with the building that they are in.. The gyms in Oasis Springs and I believe willow creek.. I have used the woo hoo before in them  and in smaller areas LOL.. Just a bit more info.. I get the option to shower woohoo when I click on a sim but not the shower, and when it does appear... it is with the name of the sim I tired to woohoo the first time... then it only happens once and then I do not get that option again... and it happened when he was not at the gym and only on one shower. ya it is broke.. lol

I do not have any script mods for showers.  I do have better exceptions and nothing comes up. and I will remove the  mods... this weekend when I have a bit more time. Since I have another issue to check out as well.

@RavenLure, when you remove your Mods to test, be sure to follow the instructions that @RandomBuzziness listed! (It also wouldn't hurt to repair your game in Origin after deleting the localthumbcache.package file. 😉 )
