I had this problem with one of my Sims. They went on vacation to Granite Falls, and the daughter (child) wouldn't eat. She'd grab the food and hold it, but wouldn't eat. I tried resetting her and it didn't help. Other Sims in the family could eat, even the same dish that she tried eating, so it wasn't the food. I exited the game and deleted my cache file, and then started it up again. She was able to eat.
Never used mods or CC, and this save is relatively new - started it in early January. The January patch suuuucked though, and I've had so much simulation lag and other bugs since then.
