Overly Harsh Present Feedback?

So, I have a lot of custom holidays, and quite a few of them involve giving presents.

On several occasions, people have had a foot-stomp reaction to receiving a present followed by a sentiment. "Failed Friendship"--because apparently giving someone a carved horse you made is so bad that it destroyed your friendship--or even "festering grudge!"

What? What is this ridiculously petty behavior? There's even a Parenthood popup card about how you should react to a gift you think is dumb, so I'd expect adults to do better!

It makes me want to delete presents out of all my holidays. I watch them like hawks now. ☹️

Today I had my teen sim (max relationship) gift his mom an outstanding quality selfie of himself, and he got a "unappreciated gift" moodlet. I thought that was weird. Like, it's your son! Who you love!!

@xochiquetzl_xkvn that's right! Talk about extreme and  ungrateful! 😱🤣  Well, if my parents had given me Malibu Barbie instead of Ballerina Barbie, I would have mostly been disappointed that they didn't really understand me , more so than anything.  But I would still play with the doll that was given to me!

@PepperDee101 , that is the worst version of an ungrateful gift receiver yet! 😓  I thought a romantic partner being ungrateful about the rose was bad, but this is worse!  What parent (especially one on good terms with their child) wouldn't want a quality picture of their child? 🤨🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️😣😭
