Pack Ideas (Tooth Fairy, Disabled Sims)

So I'm a huge fan of the Sims 4 and I was talking with my friend about Expansion/ Game/ Stuff Pack ideas.

DISABLED PACK IDEA

One idea was to have Disabled Sims for the game. So you can have wheelchairs for kids to elders. Or have casts so if a kid hurts their arm they have a cast and when they go to school they get people signing it and you get a notification when they return saying *4 people signed (Playername)'s cast today at school*.

Also having blind or deaf sims. So for deaf Sims they learn sign language and that can be a new skill and to listen to music or tv they put their hand on the speaker to hear it. They go to a different school and you could buy a hearing aid so you can hear (Kind of like the headphones in Fitness Stuff Pack).

Or for blind Sims you can't use specific objects like computers or tv and you have a walking cane or a guide dog to help you.

I feel like this will be really cool for the elders but also other ages as theres lots of kids and adults who struggle with this and would love to play themselves in the Sims but can't. Would be awesome to see the Sims be even more diverse

TOOTH FAIRY PACK IDEA

So what if you kids could lose their teeth and when a tooth falls out they click on their bed and chose an option saying *Put tooth under pillow* and when they go to sleep they wake up and can check under their pillow to see if the tooth fairy comes. And maybe if you have a mean sibling or parent they can come through the night and steal the money under the pillow and have it for themselves (or something like that).

When they have wobbly teeth they can only have soup, ice cream and soft foods otherwise they get a negative moodlet of their teeth hurting. Also maybe you can have different ways of pulling it out. You can let it fall out naturally, attach a string to a doorknob, bite into an apple, or just pick it out

LEAVE YOUR SUGGESTIONS BELOW! I think these should really be incorporated into the Sims to make a different experience then other Sims games

@Jate02, the problem with a Disabled pack is that there are so many disabilities that some of the disabilities (like with a wheelchair) would require a ton of work to incorporate into the game.  They would need new meshes and animations for all ages. Buildings would need an overhaul more than likely.  (At the very least elevators or chair lifts for houses with more than one level).  This would be way too much work to warrant a Stuff Pack and would have to be at least a Game Pack, but more than likely an Expansion Pack.  But we don't get very many EPs and there are still some EPs from previous versions of the Sims that haven't come out yet for TS4, such as University.  While you certainly aren't the first person to suggest this (and you won't be the last), EA would have to do a lot of questioning and testing to see if making such a pack is worth their while.  Also, while having a guide dog for the blind would be fantastic in the game, people will be angry if they would also have to buy the Cats & Dogs EP to be able to use this feature! 🤨

Also, even if EA were to make a pack with several of the most common disabilities , there will still be a bunch of people upset that their disability wasn't included.  😞  Saddly, they wouldn't be able to accommodate everybody.

I think this would have to be a separate Sims-like game, like an offshoot of the franchise in order to be done properly!  I think that is our best bet for having a Sims game with disabilities.

But I understand the desire for having disabilities represented in the game.  I have had people in my life who were legally blind (having very little vision) and who have had cerebral palsy.

The only other thing that might be helpful is to see if there are any Mods for the game that would allow your Sims to have a disability.  I don't think there are any at this time, but it can't hurt to look! 😉  (Just know that Mods and other Custom Content has to be updated every time EA makes a patch for the game or your game won't work properly! )

I think the idea of having a cast would still be able to be incorporated into the game if we ever were to get a Daredevil pack! 😃

I also think the tooth fairly idea would be fantastic if we every get a Fairies pack (like we did for Vampires)! 😇

Best of luck and Happy Simming! 🥳

  • I was just thinking about this, this morning!

since we now have after school activities with seasons it would be really cool to see an EP extending that aspect of the game. i.e mathletes, sports, dance. gymnastics etc.

I feel like this won't happen because it might not be popular but i'd love a farming EP! They could introduce farm animals including horses. You could raise your own chickens for eggs and maybe have more harvestables added to the game.

Another thing that i'd love to see that i hoped would be in 'get together' is bands! I loved that in the sims 4.

I love this idea! Although as it was stated before, a Disabled Sims pack would be complicated. There are a lot of variables, and it would be impossible to include every disability. Still, it's a neat thought! I would love to see something like this in Sims. That also makes me think of certain things like the autism spectrum. I would really love if that could be included.

The Tooth Fairy thing would be great. I briefly thought about expanding on the idea and making it a holiday one. Like having Santa come at Christmas and appear to children, or the Easter Bunny, etc. Although I realize that not everyone celebrates said holidays, and might cause some issues. If it wasn't for that, it would be nice to include with the Tooth Fairy.
