Patchy and guests are taking the harvestables

How often does the bug occur? Half of the time

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have plants and Patchy the Scarecrow and/or have a sim over. When Patchy comes from his tree he helps watering and weeding, then suddenly starts to take the harvest. It disappears. 
What happens when the bug occurs? Patchy or guests are taking the harvestables. 
What do you expect to see? Patchy only caring for plants (i.e. watering, spraying for bugs or weeding) and not do anything with the harvest. And guests should not touch the plants at all. That is rude. 
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
